Obituary
Bonnie Sizemore Obituary
Bonnie Sue Sizemore, age 66, of Herrin, passed away September 15, 2025 at her home in Herrin.
She was born Saturday, March 7, 1959 in Herrin, a daughter of Wesley and Hallie (Holmes) Sizemore. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a counselor at Choate Mental Health in Anna.
Bonnie was a creative and vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest. She had a passion for arts and crafts, spending hours crocheting, making jewelry, and exploring her artistic side. Her phone was always close by, where she'd indulge in her favorite game, June's Journey.
Bonnie's greatest joys came from her loving family and her furry friends - her dogs brought her endless delight. She also had a weakness for shopping, especially at the Dollar Tree, where she'd find hidden gems and treasures.
But Bonnie's true delight was people. She loved sitting on her porch, watching the world go by, and chatting with neighbors. Her wit was sharp, and her tongue was quicker, but beneath her feisty exterior lay a heart of gold. This small but mighty woman was the kindest person you'd ever meet, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.
Bonnie's generosity knew no bounds. She'd crochet blankets for newborn babies, craft gifts for friends and family, and give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Her love and kindness touched countless lives, and she'll be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter- Cassandra Seagle of Carbondale; daughter- Katherine (Mark Knepler) Hill of Bluford; nine grandchildren- Isabella, Mark III, Miranda, Herschel, Peyton, Ashley, Emma, Ryan, and Kinsley; and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister- Gloria Zimmer.
