Elizabeth Wagley April 9, 1946 — August 9, 2025 Herrin Elizabeth Marie Wagley, age 79, of Herrin, IL passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday August 9th, 2025. Elizabeth was born on April 9th, 1946 to Walter and Regina (Perotta) Macanka; stepdad Benny Calcaterra. She was a Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart and read her Bible daily. She also very much enjoyed spending time with her family. Elizabeth was survived by the love of her life and husband of 32 years, Freddie D. Wagley. She was also the love of his life. Other survivors include children Doug Smith, Candy (and Billy) Haseker, Stacy (and Monty) Norment; Grandchildren Crystal Townzen, Alexandria Cutsinger, Trevor Haseker, Jacob Haseker, Mark Norment, and Jared Norment; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Herrin Cemetery in Herrin, IL, with Pastor Donnie Colson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s. Van Natta Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
