Judith Tripp Obituary Herrin- Judith Marie "Judy" Tripp, 82, of Herrin, passed away at 9:35 Am, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Deaconess Medical Center in Marion. She was born 21 October 1942 to Kathlyn (Meece) Taylor and William Orville Taylor of Herrin. Judy was a lifelong resident of Herrin and a 30+ year employee with SIH, primarily as a pediatric nurse at Herrin Hospital where she dedicated her career to helping others. She was Baptist and attended Bryan Street Baptist Church in Herrin. Among her hobbies, Judy enjoyed reading Harlequin novels and watching tennis; especially Rafael Nadal. She is survived by her son- William Todd Tripp of Herrin; sister- Kathy Harmon of Herrin; brother-in-law- Barry Brown of Herrin; nieces- Kelly Harmon and Rhonda (Christopher) McPhail of West Frankfort, as well as great nieces-Taylor (Noah) Summers of Benton and Ryley and Paizley McPhail of West Frankfort and great-great nephew-Hendrix Summers and great-great niece Deliah Summers of Benton. She was preceded in death by her grandmother- Hattie Mae Meece and her parents. The family wishes to thank the staff of Parkway Manor, United Medical Response, and Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion. She will be cremated and private services will be handled by McCluskie-Miller Funeral Services..
